As a Huntsville AL school photographer, one of my favorite things is to see a child’s personality shine through their photos.

Some kids warm up quickly and are quite expressive from the start.

Some kids need a little more time but still have beautiful, softer expressions.

I love both!

Because here’s the thing: we all love a smiling photo. BUT…..

Think about the percentage of your day you spend smiling.

Even the happiest of us still don’t smile 100% of the time. We have SO MANY different expressions.

And each one is US.

The same is true for our children. We love to see them smile.

And.

They have such a range of emotions and expressions that just might look different in the same photo a year later.

So, yes, my assistant and I work really hard to help kids smile for their photos. We want them to enjoy their time with us and walk away feeling happy from the experience.

Believe me, there’s LOTS and lots of silliness and laughing going on.

And.

I will also likely include other images in your child’s gallery.

Because all of those expressions are them as well.

And it all goes by so very fast. So I capture it so you can hold on to it.
