What's better than a really cute baby boy? TWO really cute baby boys! I had the honor of photographing an in-home newborn session for this precious family shortly after the boys were born. And then this past fall, we did an outdoor family photo session, and as you can imagine it was a little more lively with 2 9-month-olds!

One tactic I believe in when it comes to photographing babies and kids is to allow them to be where they are most comfortable. Some kids are adventurous and don't mind being away from mom or dad for some individual photos. But lots of times, little ones want to be in their parents' arms. And that is ok! I can still get some really sweet images right from there! Plus it gives some context and memories about the stage the child was in at that time. I always say that the youngest kids are the boss of the session, and we will be flexible and easy-going about what they feel comfortable with. It's so important to me that your photo session is stress-free and fun!

This is why you'll receive a brief questionnaire from prior to your session where you can tell me a little bit about the members of your family, especially your kids. Some kids are more natural hams, and some kids need a little time to warm up. I definitely understand this, and it helps me going in to your session to know how to relate to these precious kiddos!
